Philadelphia policeman accused of dumping his dog at park Philadelphia policeman blamed for dumping his pooch at stop PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia policeman has been blamed for putting his embraced puppy in a waste sack and dumping it at a recreation center. The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says Officer Michael Long was captured Thursday on creature savagery and related offense accusations. A bystander happened upon the junk sack Nov. 23 and saw a puppy’s head obvious inside. Creature welfare officers took the skinny pit bull blend to a safe house for therapeutic care. The PSPCA says the puppy was microchipped and a pursuit of Long’s home turned up a sheet that coordinated one inside the junk pack. The 3-year-old puppy is named Cranberry. The puppy has recuperated and been received. Police say Long has been suspended with the plan to expel. Long can’t be gone after remark on the grounds that there’s no recorded phone number for him.
